King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled next week on Interstate 76, Interstate 95, and other state highways in Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Philadelphia
- Tuesday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, moving alternating lane closures are scheduled in both directions on I-95 at the I-676 (Vine Street Expressway) Interchange in Philadelphia for bridge inspection;
- Wednesday, February 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between the Belmont Avenue and the U.S. 1/Roosevelt Boulevard interchanges in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, and Philadelphia for bridge inspection;
- Wednesday, February 15, and Thursday, February 16, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating moving lane closures are scheduled in both directions on Spring Garden Street between Front Street and 2nd Street in Philadelphia for bridge inspection; and
- Saturday, February 18, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving left lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the northbound U.S. 1/Roosevelt Boulevard and the Belmont Avenue interchanges in Philadelphia and Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County for bridge inspection.
Chester County
- Monday, February 13, through Thursday, February 16, from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled in both directions on U.S. 30 (Coatesville-Downingtown Bypass) between the Route 10 and Route 100 interchanges in Sadsbury, Valley, Caln, and East Caln townships for spraying patching; and
- Friday, February 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving left lane closure is scheduled on northbound U.S. 202 between the Route 252/Paoli and Valley Forge Road interchanges in Tredyffrin Township for bridge inspection.
Delaware County
- Monday, February 13, through Monday, February 27, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Mondays through Thursdays, periodic lane closures are scheduled on Providence Road between Bishop Hollow Road and Route 252 (Palmers Mill Road) in Upper Providence Township for tree trimming and sign installation; and
- Friday, February 17, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 at the Route 352 Interchange in City of Chester for retaining wall inspection.
Montgomery County
- Tuesday, February 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on southbound Route 309 between the Summit Avenue overhang and the I-276 Interchange in Upper Dublin Township for retaining wall inspection.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
