King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that Digital Message Sign (DMS) installations and other construction activities will be performed at night next week on Interstate 95 and Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) in Bucks, Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 just after the Route 132 (Street Road) Interchange in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, for boring operations;
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Mill Road underpass and Tennis Avenue overpass in Bensalem Township, Bucks County, for DMS installation;
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Chester Pike underpass and Stewart Avenue overpass in Ridley Park Borough, Delaware County, for various construction activities;
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a double lane closure will be in place on northbound I-95 between the Grant Avenue underpass and Linden Avenue overpass in Philadelphia, for DMS installation; and
- Monday, October 2, through Friday, October 6, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on eastbound Route 63 (Woodhaven Road) between Thornton Road underpass and the Academy Road underpass in Philadelphia, for DMS installation.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
