King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled next week on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties.
The work schedules and locations are:
Bucks County
- Monday, April 3, through Wednesday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Route 262 (York Road) between Lower York Road and Route 32 (River Road) in Solebury and Buckingham townships for pavement marker installation.
Chester County
- Monday, April 10, through Friday, May 5, weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled on Boot Road between Quarry Road & Clover Mill Road in East Caln Township for bridge repairs; and
- Monday, April 10, through mid-May, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, periodic lane closures are scheduled on Swedesfrod Road between Duportail Road & Le Boutillier Road in Tredyffrin Township for bridge repairs.
Montgomery County
- Monday, April 3, through Wednesday, April 5, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Route 29 (Gravel Pike) between Route 73 (Big Road) and the Red Hill Borough line in Lower Frederick and Upper Frederick townships and Marlborough and Green Lane boroughs for pavement marker installation.
Philadelphia
- Monday, April 3, through Thursday, April 6, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane restriction is scheduled on Whitaker Avenue between Erie Avenue and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) for crack sealing operations;
- Monday, April 3, through Thursday, April 6, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane restriction is scheduled on Tacony Street between Aramingo Avenue and Levick Street for crack sealing operations;
- Monday, April 3, through Thursday, April 6, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane restriction is scheduled on New State Road between Levick Street and State Road for crack sealing operations;
- Monday, April 3, through Thursday, April 6, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane restriction is scheduled on State Road between New State Road and Cottman Avenue for crack sealing operations;
- Monday, April 3, through Thursday, April 6, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane restriction is scheduled on Grant Avenue between Bustleton Avenue and State Road for crack sealing operations; and
- Tuesday, April 4, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Interstate 676 between the I-76 and Broad Street interchanges for bridge inspection.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
