Bridge Inspections Scheduled Next Week on I-95, I-76 in Philadelphia

King of Prussia PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that bridge inspections are scheduled on Interstate 95 and I-76 in Philadelphia.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

  • Monday, June 17, from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and the Academy Road interchanges.
  • Monday, June 17, from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, a moving right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Academy Road and the Cottman Avenue interchanges.
  • Tuesday, June 18, and Wednesday, June 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on eastbound I-76 between the I-676 and the South Street interchanges.
  • Thursday, June 20, and Friday, June 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the 30th Street and the I-676 interchanges.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

The inspections are part of PennDOT's program to inspect bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
