A Bridge Replacement Project Starts Next Week on Rolling Hill Road in Smithfield Township, Bradford County

Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project is set to begin next week on Rolling Hill Road (Route 4011) in Springfield Township, Bradford County.

On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, Rolling Hill Road will be closed between Berwick Turnpike (Route 4013) and Kelley Road (T-645), while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew begins work to replace the existing twin metal culvert spanning Tomjack Creek with a new concrete box culvert. Work on the project includes removal of the existing bridge, installation of the new box culvert, approach work, line painting, and guide rail upgrade.

A detour using Berwick Turnpike (Route 4013) and Springfield Road / Main Street (Route 4014) will be in place for the duration of the project.

Work on this project is anticipated to be completed by the end of August 2024, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution.
