Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a bridge replacement project continues on Route 522 in Spring Township, Snyder County.
On Monday, July 14, 2025, , Route 522 traffic will be switched to the temporary two-lane roadway while the contractor begins removal and replacement of the existing bridge over an unnamed tributary to Beaver Creek. Motorists can expect lane shifts and slow-moving vehicles while traffic is being switched onto the temporary roadway.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution while navigating the temporary roadway, which is expected to remain in place through December 2025.
Jay Fulkroad and Sons is the prime contractor for the $2.67 million bridge replacement project. Work on the project includes construction of a temporary roadway, removal of the existing bridge and replacement with a box culvert. Additional work includes approach work, paving, line painting, guide rail, and removal of the temporary roadway. Work on this project is anticipated to be completed in the fall 2026.
