PennDOT Announces Interstate 80 Exit 192 Closure in Clinton County Starting Next Week

Clearfield, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) advises the public that the off ramps at Exit 192 (Jersey Shore) of Interstate 80 in Clinton County will be temporarily closed for a resurfacing project beginning Monday. This work will improve the ride quality and safety of the off ramps for.

Beginning Monday, September 23, the Exit 192 Westbound exit ramp will be closed as a contractor completes concrete patching, paving, drainage improvements, and line painting. Traffic control patterns will route motorists off of the interstate at exit 185 during the closures, in leu of access to the Exit 192 off ramps. This closure is expected to last seven days.

Once the ramp is reopened, work to finish the project will continue on the shoulders of the interstate. The closure and detours will then transfer to the eastbound exit where the same work will be completed.

Glenn O. Hawbaker is the contractor on this $750,000 project. PennDOT anticipates completion in November.
