Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that Route 4089 (Hulton Road) is scheduled to close Monday morning, August 19, between Route 4040 (Spooky Hollow Road) and Oberleiter Road in Allegheny Township, Westmoreland County.
Westmoreland County maintenance department bridge crew will be replacing the superstructure that carries Hulton Road over a Chartiers Run tributary with a precast concrete box culvert. Work includes approach roadway widening, paving, and guiderail replacement – a $600K infrastructure investment.
The closure is anticipated through mid-November and all work depends on weather and operations.
A posted detour will be in place using Route 4089 (Hulton Road), Route 4073 (White Cloud Road) and Route 4048 (Melwood Road).
Remain alert and follow the posted signs and speed limits. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
