Uniontown, PA – Fayette County Maintenance Manager Jason L. Spangler announced the following tentative work plan for the week of April 8, 2024. All maintenance activities are conducted depending on weather and operations.
During county maintenance work activities motorists should expect to encounter flaggers, single-lane restrictions, moving operations, and detours. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.
Bridge flushing:
- Route 1051 (Bute Road) in North Union and Dunbar townships.
Bridge replacement:
- Route 1019 (Breakiron Road) in Bullskin Township.
- Closure and detour in place.
Crack sealing:
- Route 1058 (County Line Road) in Mount Pleasant and Donegal townships.
Inlet cleaning:
- Route 40 (National Pike) in South Union Township.
- Route 381 (Elliotsville Road) in Wharton Township.
- Route 3013 (Palmer Road) in German Township.
- Route 4006 (New Salem Road) German Township.
Pipe flushing:
- Route 21 (McClellandtown Road) in South Union Township.
- Route 1050 (Quail Hill Road) in Bullskin Township.
- Route 1051 (Breakneck Road) in Bullskin Township.
Shoulder cutting:
- Route 119 (Morgantown Road) in Springhill Township.
- Route 3005 (Gans Woodbridge Road) in Springhill Township.
- Route 3009 (Outcrop Road) in Springhill Township.
Shoulder repair:
- Route 1053 (Archbridge Road) in Dunbar Township.
- Route 4016 (Smock Road) in Menallen Township.
Sign replacement:
- Various routes countywide.
Litter crews will be picking litter on various routes throughout the county as weather and other activities permit.
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced, and work orders will be addressed on various state routes throughout the County.
