Interstate 70 Overnight Pavement Testing Begins Monday in Washington County

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing overnight single-lane restrictions scheduled in both directions on Interstate 70 between Exit 18 (North Junction - Pittsburgh) and Exit 20 (Beau Street) in South Strabane Township, Washington County. 

Restrictions will occur daily from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, beginning at midnight on Monday, November 4, and ending the morning of Wednesday, November 6. 

PennDOT will conduct falling weight deflectometer (FWD) testing to investigate pavement structural capacity, performance, postings, and other qualities. All work depends on weather and operations. 

Motorists are asked to remain alert, follow signage, and use caution while driving through the work zone. Safety is everyone's responsibility.
