Bridge Replacements Begin Next Week in Fayette, Greene, and Westmoreland Counties

Uniontown, PA – Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 12 is announcing that portions of the following roadways are scheduled to close Monday, June 17, for bridge replacements:

  • Nicholson Township in Fayette County:
    • Route 3008 (Willow Grove Road) from Jacobs Creek Road to Konicki Road.
    • Detour:
      • Route 3008 (Willow Grove Road).
      • Route 3009 (Woodside Old Frame Road).
      • Route 3011 (Fairview Hill Road). 
  • Morgan Township in Greene County:
    • Route 1009 (Bacon Run Road/Center School Road) from Route 1013 (Clarksville Road) to Route 1014 (Castile Run Road/Seven Creeks Road).
    • Detour:
      • ​Route 1009 (Bacon Run Road/Center School Road).
      • Route 1013 (Clarksville Road/Marianna Road/South Street).
      • Route 1011 (Castile Run Road).
      • Route 1014 (Seven Creeks Road).
  • Saint Clair Township in Westmoreland County:
    • Route 1005 (Shannon Creek Road) from Route 1003 (Boswell Road/Goat Hill Road) to Wildcat Road.
    • Detour:
      • Route 1005 (Shannon Creek Road).
      • Route 711 (Ligonier Street).
​​The closures are anticipated through late September to allow county maintenance department bridge crews to demolish the existing superstructures and replace them with precast concrete box culverts and wingwalls.

 
Additional work will include approach roadway widening, guiderail replacement and paving – an infrastructure investment of $600K for each location.

All work depends on weather and operations.
