Route 2086 Leechburg Road Slide Repair Work Begins Wednesday in Plum

Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT is announcing slide repair work on a portion of Leechburg Road (Route 2086) in the Borough of Plum, Allegheny County will begin Wednesday, July 5 weather permitting.

A portion of Leechburg Road just east of the intersection with Elicker Road will close to through traffic from 9 a.m. on Wednesday continuously through mid-August.  Traffic will be detoured.

West of the Closure

  • From Leechburg Road, turn onto Unity Trestle Road

  • Bear left onto Old Leechburg Road (Route 2076)

  • Turn left onto New Texas Road

  • Follow New Texas Road back to Leechburg Road

  • End detour

East of the Closure

  • Same detour in the opposite direction

The work on Leechburg Road will not begin until slide remediation work is finished on New Texas Road.  That work is expected to conclude on Monday, July 3.

Crews from A. Liberoni, Inc. will conduct slide remediation work, paving, and other miscellaneous construction activities.
