Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing roadway improvement work on Route 4026 (Sample Road), Route 4024 (Babcock Boulevard), and Route 4024 (Cumberland Road) in Hampton and McCandless townships, Allegheny County will begin Monday, June 10 weather permitting.
Single-lane alternating traffic will occur nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through early October on the following roadways:

Sample Road between Mount Royal Boulevard (Route 4019) in Hampton Township and Peebles Road (Route 4064) in McCandless Township

Cumberland Road between Perry Highway (Route 19) and Babcock Boulevard (Route 4031) in McCandless Township

Babcock Boulevard between Cumberland Road (Route 4024) and Duncan Avenue (Route 4024) in McCandless Township
Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.
Improvement work includes milling and paving, drainage upgrades, shoulder repairs, guide rail updates, pavement markings, and other various construction related activities.
The prime contractor is A. Folino Construction on this $9.55 million group paving project.
