    I-376 Parkway East, West Line Painting Saturday in Allegheny County

    Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is advising motorists that line painting operations on I-376 (Parkways West and East) in Allegheny County, will occur Saturday, August 26 weather permitting.

    Line painting operations will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday in the following locations: 

    • I-376 Parkway East in both directions between the Greenfield Bridge and the Edgewood/Swissvale (Exit 77) interchange. Crews will paint skip lines.

    • I-376 Parkway West in both directions between the Fort Pitt Tunnel and the Carnegie (Exit 65) interchange. Crews will paint edge lines.

    • I-376 Parkway West in both directions between the Carnegie (Exit 65) interchange and I-79. Crews will conduct full painting operations.

    Roadway line painting is an important part of PennDOT’s highway safety initiatives. Paint lines provide direction, delineation, and guidance to motorists.

    Generally, PennDOT is not responsible for paint on vehicles.

    Motorists should use caution and be aware of changing traffic patterns when driving through the area. 

    Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.

    511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
