Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on I-279 (Parkway North) in City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County will begin Friday, March 10 weather permitting.
Single-lane and shoulder restrictions will occur from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day on I-279 for the inspection of the Gerst Way pedestrian bridge, located between East Street and Suffolk Street according to the following schedule:

Friday, March 10 – Northbound shoulder closure

Saturday, March 11 – Southbound two-lane closures in the morning and northbound two-lane closures in the afternoon

Sunday, March 12 – Southbound single-lane closure in the morning and northbound single-lane closure in the afternoon
Crews from SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. will conduct the inspection work.
Please use caution while driving through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
