Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing lane restrictions on the I-279 Fort Duquesne Bridge and associated ramps in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Thursday through Sunday, April 11-14 weather permitting.
Lane closures and traffic shifts will occur according to the following schedule:

Thursday and Friday, April 11-12 – Single-lane restrictions will occur in the southbound lanes (lower deck) of the southern end of the Fort Duquesne Bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day. All ramps will remain open.

Saturday, April 13 – Single-lane restrictions will occur on the northbound lane of I-279 approaching the Fort Duquesne Bridge from 6 a.m. to noon.

Sunday, April 14 – Single-lane restrictions will occur on the 10th Street Bypass ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge from 6 a.m. to noon
Crews from the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct the routine inspections.
Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns. Please use caution when driving through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
