Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing underground utility work between Haine School Road and Lovi Road (Route 2006) as part of the Freedom Road Expansion Project in Cranberry Township, Butler County.
September 9 through September 12, crews will be continuing work on underground utility crossings. There will be a nighttime single lane closure with flagging operations from 8 PM to 6 AM. Motorists may experience delays. Work is weather dependent.
This project is an extension of Freedom Road project which includes new highway and turning lanes, widening, paving, drainage, signal upgrade/replacement, and lighting work with service and access roads, highway realignment and safety improvements and sidewalks.
Contractor, Gulisek Construction, LLC of Mt. Pleasant, PA will be completing this $18 million project anticipated to be complete in November 2025.
