PennDOT/BPC Announce Update to Richardsville Road Closure as the I-80 North Fork Bridges Project Continues to Move Forward in Brookville, Jefferson County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Bridging Pennsylvania Constructors (BPC) are providing an update on the planned closure of Richardsville Road (Route 4005) in Brookville. Originally scheduled to close on December 5, 2024, the closure and detour for Richardsville Road is being postponed. Additional information will be shared once a new closure date is set.

The closure is necessary to allow for the removal and reconstruction of the existing bridge on Richardsville Road (Route 4005), and the road will remain closed for an extended period as part of this significant infrastructure project.

Motorists should continue to monitor local communications for updates on the revised closure schedule. Once the detour is in effect, drivers will be directed to use Richardsville Road (Route 4005), East Main Street (Route 28), and Butler Cemetery Road as the alternative route.

PennDOT and BPC will continue to coordinate with local Emergency Management Services (EMS) and provide regular updates as the project progresses.
