Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing upcoming preservation work on the Clarion River Bridge on Interstate 80 in Paint and Monroe Townships, Clarion County that will begin January 15, 2025, weather permitting.
An intermittent lane restriction will be implemented on Interstate 80 as crews perform additional rehabilitation work on the Clarion River Bridge between Exit 62: Clarion and Exit 60: Shippenville. There will be a 12-foot width restriction during the lane restrictions.
The restriction will affect both the eastbound and the westbound travel lanes, not simultaneously, to allow for equipment to be lowered over the side of the bridge to access the underside. Closures will be weather dependent and occur between 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday.
Contractor, Swank Construction Co., LLC of New Kensington, PA, will be completing the rehabilitation work estimated to conclude at the end of March 2025.
