Two-Year Water Line Replacement Project to Begin June 23 in Indiana County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing lane restrictions for a two-year water line replacement project in Indiana County.

Shadco and Ferri Contracting will be installing a new water line in Buffington, Cherry Hill, Pine, Green, and Blacklick townships on Routes 422, 403/South Strongstown, and 580 to 240.  Work will be completed Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

The tentative schedule for work is as follows:

  • Route 422/Iverson Road: June 23 through July 22                      
  • Route 403/School Road: July 22 through August 11                             
  • Route 403/Cameron Bottom Road: August 11 through January 5, 2026
  • Route 580/Penns Manor to Uniontown: January 26, 2026 through June 23, 2027

The schedule is weather dependent and may change.  Traffic restrictions will be controlled with flaggers.  Motorists should use caution in the area and may experience delays.
