Roadways Remain Closed in Northwest Region

​Due continued clean-up from the windy conditions that resulted in downed trees and power lines, several roadways remain closed throughout the region.

PennDOT reminds motorists to exercise caution while driving in inclement weather, such as heavy rainfall or snow.

Drivers should never attempt to drive through large pools of water on the roadway and should comply with Pennsylvania law to turn on their headlights on any time their windshield wipers are activated.

The following roadways are closed as of 10:00 AM today:

Crawford County

  • Church Road (Route 3005) – Pecan Drive in South Shenango Township to Leach Road in North Shenango Township.

Erie County

  • Route 5 – Nagle Road in Lawrence Park to the New York state line in North East Township.
  • Route 8 – Intersection of Barton Road and Bliley Road to intersection of Bennett Road and May Road in Greene Township.
  • East Crane Street/Crane Road (Route 3008) – From Meadville Street in Cranseville Borough to Miller Road in Elk Creek Township.

Forest County

  • River Road (Route 2002) – Route 36 to Jacks Hollow Road in Barrett Township.

Mercer County

  • Wet Track Road (Route 3005) – Carpec Lane to Maple Grove Road in Shenango Township.   
Venango County

  • Two Mile Run Road (Route 4001) – Martin Hill Road to Warren Road in Sugarcreek Borough.
Warren County

  • Austin Hill Road (Route 2002) – Route 666 in Sheffield Township to Sorenson Road in Cherry Grove Township.
The closures will remain in place until the roadways are cleared.  

511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
