King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) in East Pikeland Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, September 9.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, September 9, through Friday, September 20, from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a weeknight closure is scheduled on Route 724 (Schuylkill Road) between Hares Hill Road and Pikeland Avenue. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 23 (Ridge Road), Bridge Street, and Route 724 (Schuylkill Road).
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
