Inspections Next Week on Sherman Street and Eberts Lane Bridges over I-83 in York County

Traffic will be restricted on I-83 

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions next week on Interstate 83 in York County so inspections can be performed on the Sherman Street (Route 1033) and Eberts Lane (Route 1039) bridges spanning the interstate. 

Weather permitting, an inspection will be performed Monday, November 13, and Tuesday, November 14, on the Sherman Street and Eberts Lane bridges spanning I-83 between Exit 19 and Exit 21 in Springettsbury Township. There will be alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions of I-83 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
