Traffic will be restricted on I-83
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions next week on Interstate 83 in northern York County so inspections can be performed on the Route 392 and Route 262 bridges spanning the interstate.
Weather permitting, an inspection will be performed Monday, October 16, and Tuesday, October 17, on the Route 392 bridge spanning I-83 at Exit 33 (Yocumtown) in Newberry Township. There will be alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions of I-83 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.
An inspection will be performed Wednesday, October 18, and Thursday, October 19, on the Route 262 bridge spanning the interstate at Exit 36 (Fishing Creek) in Fairview Township. There will be alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions of I-83 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
