    Emergency Pavement Patching Next Monday on Route 30 at Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project E. Hempfield Township, Lancaster County

    Short-term rolling lane closures in both directions of Route 30 at the interchange

     Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that emergency pavement patching is planned for next Monday on

    Route 30 at the Centerville Road Improvement Project in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County. There will be short-term rolling lane closures in both directions of Route 30.

     Weather permitting, pavement patching will be performed on eastbound and westbound Route 30 from 9:00 AM to noon on Monday, January 13. There will be multiple short-term rolling lane closures of up to 20 minutes for this work. Delays are expected.

     This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction.

     The project includes work on Centerville Road from Cornerstone Drive to Marietta Avenue (Route 23), and Marietta Avenue from Centerville Road to Stony Battery Road. The project is primarily located in East Hempfield Township, though the section from Cornerstone Drive to Columbia Avenue is in Manor Township.

     JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $36.3 million project. Work is expected to be completed by July 22, 2025.
