King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations are scheduled on several state highways in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions
Bucks County
- Sunday, June 9, through early August, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be scheduled Sunday to Friday evenings on Route 413 (Langhorne Newtown Road/Pine Street) between Route 332 (Newtown Bypass) and 300 feet north of Gilliam Avenue in Langhorne Borough and Middletown Township for milling and paving.
- Monday, June 17, through Friday June 21, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, lane closures with flagging are scheduled on Route 332 (Almshouse Road) between Route 232 (Second Street Pike) and Temperance Lane in Northampton Township for drainage work.
Chester County
- Sunday, June 9, and Monday, June 10, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Caln Road/Reeceville Road between Business U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Fisherville Road in Caln Township for paving.
- Sunday, June 9, through Wednesday, June 12, from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Octorara Trail/Compass Road) between U.S. 30 (Lincoln Highway) and Beaver Dam Road in West Sadsbury, Sadsbury West Caln, and Honey Brook townships for paving.
- Sunday, June 9, through Thursday, June 13, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Route 10 (Limestone Road) between Route 472 (Market Street) and Route 41 (Gap Newport Pike) in Oxford Borough and Lower Oxford, Upper Oxford, and West Fallowfield townships for milling and paving.
Delaware County
- Sunday, June 9, through Friday, June 14, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Calcon Hook Road between Hook Road and U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) in Sharon Hill Borough and Darby Township for paving.
- Sunday, June 9, through Tuesday, June 11, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Sugartown Road between Valley Forge Road and the Chester County line in Radnor Township for milling, and paving.
- Monday, June 10, through Thursday, June 13, from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Cedar Grove Road between Old Cedar Grove Road and Grant Road in Marple Township for paving.
Montgomery County
- Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Pennsylvania Avenue between the Pennsylvania Turnpike overpass and Chelsea Avenue in Whitemarsh and Springfield townships for milling and paving.
Philadelphia
- Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Walnut Street between 33rd Street and 63rd Street (Cobbs Creek Parkway) for line striping.
- Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Castor Avenue between U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) and Richmond Street for line striping.
- Monday, June 10, through Friday, June 14, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure is scheduled on Aramingo Avenue/Harbison Avenue between Wheatsheaf Lane and U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard) for prepping and milling.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT's contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
