King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on Route 611 (York Road) in Abington Township, Montgomery County, beginning Monday, June 19.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, June 19, through Friday, July 14, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Route 611 (York Road) will be closed and detoured weekdays between Old Welsh Road and Route 63 (Moreland Road). During the closure, passenger vehicles will be directed to use Old Welsh Road, Edge Hill Road, and Route 63 (Moreland Road). Large trucks will be directed to use Route 63 (Moreland Avenue), Easton Road, and Old Welsh Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the work zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
