King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing operations will continue next week on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove Township, Montgomery County, and North Coventry Township, Chester County.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restrictions:
- Sunday, July 19, and Wednesday, July 22, through Thursday, July 23, from 6:00 PM to 12:00 PM the following day, a lane closure and intermittent ramp closures will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Armand Hammer and Route 100 interchanges for milling and paving.
- Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure and intermittent ramp closures will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 100 and Armand Hammer interchanges for milling and paving.
- Monday, July 20, through Thursday, July 23, from 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a right lane closure will be in place on westbound U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Hanover Street interchanges for paving.
- Tuesday, July 21, and Wednesday, July 22, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on eastbound U.S. 422 between the Route 100 and Hanover Street interchanges for milling and paving.
- Thursday, July 23, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, a periodic lane closure will be in place on eastbound and westbound U.S. 422 between the 171.6 and the Route 100 interchanges for permanent line striping.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The milling and paving work between the Route 100 and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges has been added to PennDOT’s $83.6 million project to reconstruct and improve approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway and replace bridges between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township.
