Philadelphia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that asphalt paving will occur Monday night, July 20, on southbound I-95 in Northeast Philadelphia.
Drivers are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, July 20, from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM the following morning, a left lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Cottman Avenue and Betsy Ross Bidge interchanges.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The work is part of PennDOT’s ongoing I-95/BS2 project that will reconstruct I-95 in both directions between Margaret Street and Carver Street.
