Soundwall Replacement Begins April 7 on U.S. 1 North Ramp (Media Bypass/State Road) in Springfield Township, Delaware County

King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that soundwall removal and replacement operations will begin on Monday, April 7, on the ramp from U.S. 1 North (Media Bypass/State Road) to Route 320 (Sproul Road) in Springfield Township, Delaware County.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:

  • Monday, April 7, through Friday, August 15, the ramp from U.S. 1 North (Media Bypass/State Road) to Route 320 (Sproul Road) will be closed and detoured 24/7. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Springfield Road to access westbound Route 320 (Sproul Road), and Springfield Road and Baltimore Pike to access eastbound Route 320 (Sproul Road).

During the closure, access will be maintained to Collins Drive, and through traffic will be maintained on U.S. 1 North (State Road) through the Route 320 (Sproul Road) Intersection.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
