King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that retaining wall construction will close a section of northbound St. Peters Road within St. Peters Village in Warwick Township, Chester County, beginning Monday, October 20. The work is part of a project to construct a retaining wall along St. Peters Road to stabilize and restore the roadway.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, October 20, through Monday, June 22, 2026, northbound St. Peters Road will be closed and detoured between School Road and Route 23 (Ridge Road). During the closure, passenger vehicles will be directed to use School Road, Harmonyville Road, and Chestnut Hill Road. Trucks will be directed to use School Road, Harmonyville Road, Laurelwood Road, Nieman Road, and Route 100 (Pottstown Pike).
In addition, southbound St. Peters Road, which has been closed for construction since May 22, 2025, will remain closed between School Road and Rock Run Road through spring 2026.
Local access will be maintained at all times for St. Peters Road residences and businesses.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
