Dunmore, PA -The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) invites the public to plans display regarding Route 3010 Section 350 over Branch of Big Wapwallopen Creekin Luzerne County. The project will be presented at the scheduled Meeting held at the Dorrance Township Municipal Building, 7844 Blue Ridge Trail, Mountaintop, PA 18707 on December 9, 2024 at 6:30 PM.
The project consists of replacing the existing stone masonry arch structure over the Branch of Big Wapwallopen Creek in Dorrance Township with a two-lane, precast reinforced concrete box culvert. The project also includes minor approach roadway work, including full-depth reconstruction, paved shoulders, drainage improvement, and guide rail upgrades.
Traffic will be maintained throughout construction by utilizing a signed detour. The 9.1-mile detour will utilize Route 3007 (Blue Ridge Trail), Route 2042 (Stairville Road), Route 2047 (Church Road), and Route 2045 (South Main Road).
Construction work is anticipated to take place in the Spring of 2026.
The purpose of the public meeting and virtual plans display is to introduce the project and the associated maintenance and protection of traffic during construction to receive public questions, comments, or other input regarding the project.
The plans display will be held online and will be available from November 25, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
