Montoursville, PA – Motorists are advised that a resurfacing project continues on Route 42 in Columbia County. Work will be performed between Millville Borough and Buckhorn and will continue between the Town Bloomsburg and Catawissa Borough.
On Friday, June 2, 2023, and Monday, June 5, 2023, the contractor will be microsurfacing Route 4051 (Lunger Drive) in Buckhorn. This is the access road to the Walmart / Lowes plaza. Motorists should expect alternating lane restriction with flagging. Motorists should expect major delays in travel.
Week of June 5
On Monday, June 5, 2023, through Thursday, June 8, 2023, the contractor will be performing line removal and microsurfacing on Route 42 in Buckhorn between Wedgetown Road and Millville Road. Work will be performed between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Motorists can expect lane restrictions with flagging where work is being performed.
On Tuesday, June 6, 2023, through Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the contractor will be performing microsurfacing on Route 42 between Creek Road and First Street in Catawissa Borough. Work will be performed between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM, weather permitting. Motorists can expect alternating lane restrictions with flagging where work is performed.
Week of June 11
On Sunday, June 11, 2023, through Thursday, June 15, 2023, the contractor will continue microsurfacing Route 42 in Buckhorn between Wedgetown Road and Millville Road. Work will be performed between the hours of 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Motorists can expect lane restrictions with flagging where work is being performed.
Suit-Kote Corporation is the primary contractor for this $2.1 million resurfacing project on Route 42. Work on this project includes roadway resurfacing and line painting. Work on this project is expected to be completed by the end of the year, weather permitting.
Motorists should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution through the work zone.
