Pittsburgh, PA – PennDOT District 11 is announcing ramp restrictions on southbound Interstate 79 in Aleppo Township, Allegheny County will occur Tuesday through Friday, December 5-8 weather permitting.
Lane shifts and narrowing will occur on the southbound I-79 ramp to Emsworth/Sewickley (Exit 66) from 9 a.m. Tuesday continuously through 3 p.m. Friday as crews conduct guiderail installation work. Flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone.
The work is part of the $26.49 million I-79 improvement project. Improvements include four bridge deck replacements, one bridge preservation, milling and resurfacing, preservation work on seven sign structures, installation of five new ITS signs, guide rail improvements, signage updates, and pavement marking installation.
The prime contractor is the Joseph B. Fay Company.
