Park Drive Slide Repairs Begin in Young Township, Indiana County

Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) District 10 is announcing upcoming repairs for multiple small slides along Park Drive South in Young Township, Indiana County.

Park Drive will be closed between the intersections of Route 286 and Blacklegs Road for the repair of four small slides from June 17 through the end of September 2024.  Work will include excavation, the installation of a rock embankment, repaving the road and new guiderail.

To detour, motorists will travel Route 286 towards Indiana, turn left onto McIntyre Road (Route 3031) and turn left on Park Drive (Route 3025). Traffic from the north side of the closure will follow Park Drive north, turn right onto McIntyre Road then turn right onto Route 286.

The $1.65 million project is estimated to be completed in October 2024 by contractor, Francis J. Palo, Inc. of Clarion, PA.
