Indiana, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today the closure of Meridian Road for the continuation of a corridor improvement project on Route 68 in Butler and Connoquenessing Townships in Butler County has been rescheduled for September 30, 2024.
Originally scheduled for September 16 through October 1, 2024, the Meridian Road has been rescheduled for September 30 through October 15, 2024. The closure will be at the intersection of Meridian Road/Benbrook Road/Route 68 to allow for the replacement of signals, the installation of turn lanes and corridor improvements. To access Meridian Road from Route 68, motorists should use Whitestown Road.
This three-year project includes signal replacements, turn lane installation and corridor improvements to enhance safety and reduce congestion along PA 68.
Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. of State College, PA is the contractor for this $18.7 million project which is estimated to be completed in November 2025.
