Lane Restrictions in Place for Patching on Interstate 79 Northbound in Erie County

In connection with around-the-clock patching operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has implemented temporary lane restrictions on the northbound lanes of Interstate 79 in Erie County from Exit 166 (Route 6N, Albion/Edinboro) to the Interstate 90 interchange.

The work, which is being completed by crews from PennDOT’s Erie County maintenance facility, began earlier today and will continue 24 hours a day until it is finished.

Motorists should remain alert for changing traffic patterns and expect delays.

PennDOT urges motorists to slow down when driving in work zones, and also to be alert to changing conditions, avoid distractions and to pay attention to signs and flaggers. Drive responsibly in work zones for your safety and the safety of the workers.
