The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that Wen-Brooke Contracting, Inc., of Three Springs will begin a culvert replacement project Monday, March 20, 2023, on PA 641 in Dublin Township, Huntingdon County.
On Monday, the contractor will start excavation, paving and shoulder widening in preparation to replace two existing structures with new precast box culverts that carry Route 641 over Shade Creek and one of its tributaries. Additional work next week includes set up of barriers, line painting and placement and activation of temporary traffic signals.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane and will be controlled by temporary signals for the duration of the project. Motorists should anticipate minor delays and are advised to use caution and watch for construction personnel and vehicles.
The overall project consists of minor approach work, guide rail upgrades, new signs, and pavement markings.
All work on this $2,263,671.26 million project is expected to be completed by October 2023. The work is not weather dependent.
