The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists to expect minor delays on Route 305 (Main Street) in Alexandria, Huntingdon County, beginning the week of October 13, 2025.

Crews will be completing ADA-compliant curb and sidewalk repair, roadway milling and placing utility trenches in both lanes during standard daylight hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

Cottle's Asphalt Maintenance Inc., Everett, Pa., is the lead contractor for the $2,260,005.60 project, which includes a bridge replacement over Derry Run near the intersection of Route 4005 (Pike Street) in Porter Township, guide rail upgrades, approach paving, drainage upgrades, and resurfacing on Route 305 from U.S. 22 to Route 4004 (Main Street) in Porter Township and Alexandria Borough.

As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.

Additionally, PennDOT reminds motorists that as of June 5, 2025, the "Paul Miller's Law" is in effect. Violation of this law is punishable by way of summary citations issued by any Pennsylvania Law Enforcement officer. We strongly urge motorists to make safe choices, put phones out of reach and don’t text and drive.
