Delays Expected During Daylight Hours on Route 36 (Woodbury Pike) in Roaring Spring Borough and Taylor Township, Blair County for Concrete Island Placement at Cove Lane

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is advising motorists to expect daytime delays beginning Monday, July 7, 2025, as the intersection improvement project at Route 36 (Woodbury Pike) and Route 164 (Cove Lane) continues in Roaring Spring Borough and Taylor Township in Blair County.

Crews will work during daylight hours from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM for two weeks to form and pour a curb gutter and a concrete slab for the island at Cove Lane. The intersection improvement project consists of shoulder widening and the addition of turning lanes, as well as utility relocation and drainage upgrades.

Cottle’s Asphalt Maintenance, Inc. of Everett, Pa., expects this work will be completed by Friday, July 18, 2025.

As always, PennDOT stresses extra caution in all work zones. Motorists should drive slowly, eliminate all distractions, and stay alert for direction from advanced signage and flaggers.
