Harrisburg, PA – Due to the forecast for rain on Thursday at the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement Project in E. Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, the schedule has been condensed so both tonight’s and Thursday night’s work will be performed tonight.
Here is the work planned for tonight:
A lane closure with flagging will be in place from the interchange north to Estelle Drive to shift traffic to the west side of Centerville Road. Temporary traffic signals are expected to be activated.
The contractor will close the right lane of westbound Route 30 to remove and reset barrier. The existing off ramp from westbound Route 30 to Centerville Road will be closed and a temporary off-ramp will open. Rolling stops could be encountered while the existing ramp is closed and the temporary ramp is opened. There will be flagging on Centerville Road at the interchange.
Barrier will be set on the west side of Centerville Road from the interchange to Estelle Drive.
This work will be from 7:00 PM tonight, Wednesday, July 12 to 6:00 AM Thursday, July 13.
Any work performed the night of Thursday, July 13, will be done behind barrier and will not impact traffic.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, as delays are expected. Motorists are also advised to expect daily changing traffic configurations. This work is weather dependent.
This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction. The project includes work on Centerville Road from Cornerstone Drive to Marietta Avenue (Route 23), and Marietta Avenue from Centerville Road to Stony Battery Road.
