Single lane restrictions under daylight flagging
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a resurfacing project is set to begin next week on Old York Road (Route 1003) in Fairview Township, York County. The work limits extend 2.2 miles from Park Road to Front Street in New Cumberland Borough.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, August 7. There will be single lane restrictions during daylight hours with flaggers providing traffic control. There will be no restrictions from 6:00 AM to 8:30 AM daily, and from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Fridays.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
This project consists of paving, base repair, guide rail and drainage replacement, and other miscellaneous construction. Work will primarily be performed during daylight hours, though paving is expected to be performed next spring during the night.
JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor on this $1,727,649 project. All work is expected to be completed by June 28, 2024.
