NB I-83 in Dauphin County to be Closed Sunday Morning at the Eisenhower Interchange for Bridge Inspection

​Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that northbound Interstate 83 is scheduled to be closed Sunday morning at the Eisenhower Interchange in Swatara Township, Dauphin County, so the northbound I-83 bridge spanning southbound Interstate 283, westbound Route 322 and Eisenhower Boulevard can be inspected.


Weather permitting, this work will be performed from 6:00 AM to noon on Sunday, October 27.

A detour will be in place. Travelers should take eastbound Route 322 to the ramp to Penhar Drive, turn right onto Penhar Drive and proceed to Paxton Street, turn right onto Paxton Street, and proceed to the westbound Route 322 ramp, turn left onto the ramp and follow westbound Route 322 to the ramp to northbound I-83.

Motorists should be alert and watch for changing traffic patterns and detour signs.
