Lane Restrictions Next Week on Northbound I-81 Bridge over Swatara Creek/Route 72 in Lebanon County

Bridge to be inspected

Harrisburg, PA – Motorists in Lebanon County are advised there will be daytime lane restrictions next week on the northbound Interstate 81 bridge spanning Swatara Creek and Route 72 approximately 2 miles north of Exit 90 (Route 72/Lebanon) so inspection can be performed.

Weather permitting, this work will be performed Tuesday November 7, and Wednesday November 8.  There will be a right lane closure on northbound I-81 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. One lane will remain open each day.

Inspectors plan to inspect the bridge using an inspection crane from the roadway.

Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
