Traffic will be restricted on I-83, Memory Lane
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that there will be traffic restrictions next week on Interstate 83 in York County so inspections can be performed on the Wyndamere Road (Route 177) and Stewartstown Road (Route 2076) bridges spanning the interstate. Traffic restrictions are scheduled on Memory Lane (Route 2005) in Springettsbury Township so the Route 30 bridge spanning the road can be inspected.
Weather permitting, an inspection will be performed Monday, October 16, and Tuesday, October 17, on the Wyndamere Road (Route 177) bridge spanning I-83 just south of Exit 36 (Fishing Creek) in Fairview Township. There will be alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions of I-83 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.
An inspection will be performed Wednesday, October 18, and Thursday, October 19, on the Stewartstown Road (Route 2076) bridge spanning the interstate in Shrewsbury Township. There will be alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions of I-83 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM both days.
An inspection will be performed Friday, October 20, on the Route 30 bridge spanning Memory Lane (Route 2005) in Springettsbury Township. There will be alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions of Memory Lane from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the road crews.
