A long-term detour will be in place
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a box culvert replacement project is scheduled to begin Thursday, October 17, on Wiermans Mill Road (Route 1009) in Adams County. The structure spans an unnamed tributary to Bermudian Creek between Old Harrisburg Road (Route 3001) and Gun Club Road (Route 1008) in Huntingdon Township.
Weather permitting, the structure will be closed Thursday, October 17. A long-term detour will be in place using Old Harrisburg Road, Route 94 (Carlisle Pike) and Gun Club Road.
This project is expected to be completed by December 1, 2024.
JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor on this $433,228 project.
