Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a safety improvement project is scheduled to begin next week on Eisenhower Boulevard in Swatara Township, Dauphin County. The project limits extend from Highland Street to Lindell Road along the section of Eisenhower Boulevard that runs concurrently with Route 441.
Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, July 14. There will be short-term and long-term traffic patterns, including lane shifts through the project limits. At least one lane of traffic will be open in each direction while the work zone is active.
This project consists of the installation of bicycle lanes, sidewalks and curbing, curb ramps, widening an existing turn lane, drainage work, updates to signing and pavement markings, and other miscellaneous construction,
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, PA, is the contractor for this $1,864,585 project. All work is expected to be completed by May 6, 2026.
