Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today an inspection is scheduled for next week on the Interstate 83 bridge spanning Yellow Breeches Creek in Fairview Township, York County, at the Cumberland County line. The bridge spans the creek between Exit 40A (Limekiln Road) and Exit 40B (New Cumberland).
Weather permitting, the inspection will be performed from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 14, and Wednesday, October 15. Work will be in the northbound direction on Tuesday, and in the southbound direction on Wednesday. There will be right lane and right shoulder closures in the direction the work is being performed in.
Inspectors will use a snooper crane situated on the bridge.
Travelers are reminded to be alert for these operations, to obey work zone signs, and to use caution when driving through work zones for their safety, as well as for the safety of the inspection crews.
