Shoulder Closed on WB Route 30 Ramp to Centerville Road in E. Hempfield Township, Lancaster County

Contractor grading and paving ramp shoulder

Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the shoulder of the westbound Route 30 ramp to Centerville Road (Route 4057) in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County, is closed for construction activities.

The shoulder closure will be in place on the westbound Route 30 ramp to Centerville Road from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM today through Tuesday, May 23, so a contractor can grade and pave the shoulder.

The ramp will remain open. However, motorists should drive with caution and be alert for construction vehicles entering and exiting the roadway.

This work is part of the Centerville Road Interchange Improvement project, which consists of structure replacement, Superpave overlay, base replacement, roadway widening, milling, guiderail improvements, drainage improvements, pavement markings, ADA improvements, traffic signal improvements, and other miscellaneous construction. JD Eckman, Inc., of Atglen, PA is the prime contractor on this $36.3 million project. Work is expected to be completed by July 22, 2025.
