King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that roadway construction will continue next week on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in Newtown Township, Delaware County, under a local safety improvement project.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
- Monday, December 18, through Tuesday, December 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, traffic will be controlled by flagging on Route 3 (West Chester Pike) in both directions at the Newtown Square Shopping Center entrance for median traffic signal installation.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.
